Zbrojovka Brno

A new town quarter will be built in the future on the grounds of the former Brno Ammunitions Works. This multifunctional project with flats, office space, relaxation zones, shops, services and even a hotel will breathe new life into this part of Brno.

The site is located in the Zábrdovice section of Brno, bordered by Lazaretní St. on the south and Baarovo nábřeží on the north. The longer sides of the site are flanked by the Svitava River on the west and the Prague-Brno railway line on the east. Planning for the 22-hectare development requires a responsible approach that does not neglect a single detail. A number of studies regarding the final appearance of the new quarter are currently on the drawing board. This brownfield revitalization project is one of the largest investment ventures in the city of Brno. Commencement of work is projected for 2011.
