The most successful Czech football club

AC Sparta Prague has been the most important and the most successful club in Czech football for a long time. In more than 110 years of its existence, it has had many successes in domestic competitions as well as on the international football scene. In the modern history of the Czech Republic, Sparta is by far the most successful in the domestic league (being the Czech League Champion 9 times); it also regularly represents Czech football in UEFA competitions (UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup), where it has also had many successes. In the 2006/2007 season, AC Sparta Prague won its 34th Czech league title. In the 2005/2006 season, Sparta won the Czech Football Association Cup, defending the triumph the following year.
