4. October 2011

J&T Banka has successfully placed a public issue of the corporate bonds of ABS JETS. They are 5Y bonds with a coupon rate of 6.5 % p.a., placed in the total volume of CZK 450 million. The entire issue was subscribed on Friday, September 30, and since Monday, October 3, the bonds can be traded at the Prague Stock Exchange.

“We have for a long time perceived our clients’ interest in fixed-rate products, and we are glad that we can open a new chapter in our private banking business with this first public issue,” says Daniel Drahotský, Financial Market Director with J&T Banka.
Vladimír Peták, CEO of ABS JETS, commented on the transaction: “We are happy to see the investors’ demand. The capital from the bond issue will enable us to enlarge our hangar capacities, which represent a significant source of our revenues.”

The corporate bonds of ABS JETS have a coupon rate of 6.5 % p.a. until their maturity on September 30, 2016. The bond coupons will be redeemed by means of J&T Bank on a semi-annual basis, always in March and September. The nominal value of one bond is CZK 3 million.
The issue structure was planned and prepared by J&T IB & Capital Markets, a subsidiary of J&T Banka. “When preparing the bond issue, we recommended the client that they secure the principal with already existing real property,” says Director Roman Florián, and adds: “By pledging fully used hangars at the Ruzyně Airport in favor of the bond holders, the investors’ certainty has increased substantially.”
The ABS JETS’ bonds can be purchased on the secondary market by means of the Prague Stock Exchange or at J&T Banka.
