BRATISLAVA/ PRAGUE – J&T BANKA won Zlatá pecka 2010 for its radio spot “Časové znamenie” (Time Signal). Spot was made by the advertising agency Wiktor Leo Burnett.

Zlatá pecka is a competition organized by the Association of Czech Advertising Agencies and Marketing Communication since 1995. It belongs to the most recognized awards which may be achieved in the field of advertising. The competition evaluates and awards top creative works in the area of advertising and marketing communication from the aspect of creativity, wit, accomplishment and implementation. It is an opportunity to exchange professional experiences and creative opinions, and to meet those who significantly participate in the increase of the professional level of advertising in the Czech and Slovak Republic. The competition involves original advertising products, such as advertisements, television and radio spots, and other audio visual works, multimedia and internet presentations, internet advertising formats, billboards, posters as well as other works and design of objects used for advertising and propagation.

Works are evaluated by a jury of 8 members - representatives of media, artistic professions and V.I.P. persons. This year, the jury was chaired by Michael Meier, president of one of the biggest European independent marketing and communication networks “E3 Network” and CEO of one of the leading German advertising agencies. This year, 206 works from 42 advertising agencies applied; eight from Slovakia. A shortlist of 50 works was made based on the voting results and 20 of these works makes the main awards from their nominations. The Zlatá pecka competition is also the only competition where the “advertising favourites” can be elected also by general public.
