moderátoři Z1

News programmes of the first Czech commercial news TV will be presented by Vladimír Kroc, Jan Němec, Ondřej Kapic, Martin Severa or Zbyněk Štíbr, among female presenters by Aneta Snopová, Veronika Sedláčková, Jana Lejpová, Martina Kociánová or Jana Víšková. Returning to the presenter’s chair is also the sports programme presenter Renata Dlouhá.

The start of Z1 broadcasting is planned for the turn of May and June this year. Presenters will present the news throughout the day. “We have chosen personalities with experience and a professional approach to news preparation as presenters. Our philosophy is to bring reliable information that the viewer can trust. Therefore, Z1 presenters are also co-authors of presented information. I think that the chance to utilise and further develop their experience have brought real professionals in the field to our team,” says Martin Mrnka, CEO of Z1.

The Z1 programme will consist of news as well as documentaries, magazines, debates and talk shows. The presenters of prepared feature programmes will be, for instance, Naděžda Hávová, Karolína Dubová, Eugen Korda or Igor Chaun and Milan Knížák. The specific form of feature programmes is currently in the pilot preparation stage.

The reconstruction of TV studios and preparation of supporting equipment is being finished in the Holešovice headquarters of Z1. “We have more than 100 employees today and are preparing for broadcasting ‘to the wall’. Reporters and presenters are receiving voice, journalist and technical training to be ready for producing news material from the shooting to broadcasting on TV. We have been shooting hot topics for several months, our reporters will be deployed for the full coverage of current events from May,” says Hanuš Hanslík, Z1 news director.

At the beginning, the signal of the digital Z1 TV will be broadcast via satellite, by cable, as IPTV and on the internet. Z1 will also have terrestrial digital broadcast (DVB-T) in Prague and central Bohemia and in the Brno area. Z1 will probably be available also in the Ostrava and Plzeň regions and in the Ústí nad Labem area and other regions from autumn 2008.
