ABS Jets ads another Embraer Legacy to its business jet fleet

This, by the way, makes ABS Jets one of the largest operators of this type of aircraft not only in Europe but virtually worldwide, and the company plans on bringing in two more of the popular “Legacy” planes at the beginning of the next year.
The capacity of the cabin of an Embraer Legacy is 13 passengers with the luxurious VIP arrangement, which offers three separate compartments that allow serving hot and cold meals and drinks, provide information to passengers on the “airshow” and feature HI-FI audio and video equipment, a resting area and a toilet with complete furnishings. In addition, the luggage compartment, accessible from the passenger cabin during a flight, beats most long-distance business aircraft with its capacity of 6.8 m3. The spacious cabin is 1.83 m high, 2.1 m wide and 12.94 m long. The aircraft’s maximum range is 6,019 km, its maximum speed is 852 km/hr. The plane is propelled by two Rolls-Royce AE 3007 engines, which allow it, among other things, to reach a maximum flight level of 45,000 feet in order to eliminate the adverse effects of weather en route as much as possible during a flight.

The popularity of the aircraft not only in the Czech and Slovak markets but basically worldwide is illustrated by the fact that Embraer delivered thirty-six of them in total to its customers last year and the nearest order currently possible is for as late as the end of 2009.

ABS Jets, a.s., is the largest operator of business jets in the new member states of the EU. It is a member of the EBAA (European Business Aviation Association), holder of aircraft operator licence CZ -08 and a service centre according to PART 145. Today, it operates a total of four Embraer Legacy planes, two Cessna Ciation Bravo planes and a Bombardier Learjet 60 XR.
