On the occasion of Czech President Miloš Zeman’s official state visit to China, J&T FINANCE GROUP SE has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the private company CEFC China Energy Company Limited. CEFC is the sixth biggest privately owned company in China and, at the same time, one of the biggest corporations in the world. It is active in a broad range of fields that includes finance, energy and infrastructure.
“We have long been looking for growth and development opportunities. The partnership between J&T and CEFC will provide both sides with new opportunities, especially in the field of financial services. Entering into a strategic partnership is the first step in our cooperation, which could even result in both entities being connected through a minority share,” says Patrik Tkáč, Member of the Board of Directors of J&T FINANCE GROUP SE, about the event and concludes: “Due to the complexity of the entire process which is subject to a number of regulatory requirements and approval not only in China, but also in all countries, where J&T operates, it is premature to talk about the amount of capital investment or stake.”
